With more than 25 years of experience in business, finance, real estate, and lending, John is licensed in Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, and Missouri. He is the owner of JK Home Loans, LLC, powered by Heritage Mortgage KC, and he serves as the Director of Lending.

John brings a blend of both bank and mortgage broker experience, giving him a broad understanding of products, guidelines, and lending strategies that benefit clients across many situations. He is a graduate of the Barret School of Banking and a Certified Mortgage Advisor. He also holds a B.S. in Leadership and Management from Harding University. 

Before entering the mortgage industry, he held leadership roles at Walmart and PetSmart corporate offices, gaining valuable experience that supports his client-focused approach today. John provides a smooth, straightforward, and stress-free mortgage experience for first-time buyers, second-home buyers, and investors. 

He focuses on making the lending process easy to understand and tailored to each client so they can move forward with confidence. Clients appreciate his steady communication, dependable updates, and strong command of the mortgage landscape. His experience across multiple markets helps him support a wide range of borrowers, including entrepreneurs and business owners who use real estate to build long-term success. 

John is active in giving back and supporting his communities, contributing time, leadership, and resources to help strengthen the regions he serves. Outside of lending, John owns and operates a fifth-generation farm raising Angus cattle and other livestock. His work on the farm reflects a commitment to hard work, family values, and strong community roots.
